The new claims on Thursday represent the latest development in a long-running dispute following Apple's lawsuit against Qualcomm on Wednesday alleging that Qualcomm's Snapdragon mobile chips infringe Apple's patents.
Apple declined to comment on the new cases, referring to earlier allegations in its filing on Wednesday that the company developed its own technologies and patents to power its iPhones.
In July, Qualcomm accused Apple of infringing several patents that help cellphones have a longer battery life.
The case followed a complaint in the International Commerce Commission seeking to ban imports of iPhones that use Intel chips due to alleged patent infringement.
